Casino Marbella opens in three stages, and the right arrival time depends on what you came to play: the Jackpot Paradise slot hall from 11am, daily cash poker from 8pm, the main Gaming Room from 9pm. It sits inside the Hard Rock Hotel Marbella in Nueva Andalucía, on the Puerto Banús side of town, which makes it an evening within a Marbella stay rather than an excursion.

Where Casino Marbella is and how to get there
The casino occupies part of the Hard Rock Hotel Marbella in Nueva Andalucía, west of Marbella’s historic centre and next to Puerto Banús. For Hard Rock Hotel guests, the casino is in the same building complex, removing the need for a separate cross-town journey. Anyone staying around Puerto Banús or Nueva Andalucía can fold it into an ordinary evening of dinner and bars.
Parking is available at Hard Rock Hotel Marbella, subject to availability. If you are arriving by car rather than staying at the hotel, check the current visitor parking conditions and rate before relying on it.
Which opening time actually matters
Treat 9pm as the reference for a conventional casino evening: that is when blackjack, American roulette and the live poker room are all available together. Poker players gain an hour, since cash games are published from 8pm. Slots and electronic roulette have been running since 11am, so an afternoon visit means Jackpot Paradise and nothing else.
Both gaming areas close at 5am. Around Christmas the pattern changes: the casino publishes a closure on 24 December and special arrangements for 31 December, so check those two dates separately if they fall inside your trip.
What you can play
The Gaming Room offer is a classic one: blackjack, American roulette and poker, with Caribbean Poker advertised alongside the cash tables. Jackpot Paradise covers slots and electronic roulette.
The split between the traditional Gaming Room and Jackpot Paradise is more important than the length of the games list. It is the reason the two areas keep different hours and why an afternoon visit is materially different from arriving after 9pm.
Cash poker: stakes higher than casual low-stakes play
Casino Marbella publishes cash play every day from 8pm in Texas Hold’em and Omaha, with several published buy-ins well above casual low-stakes poker.
| Game | Minimum buy-in | Maximum |
|---|---|---|
| Hold’em 5/10 | €300 | €3,000 |
| Hold’em 10/20 | €1,000 | Unlimited |
| Hold’em 20/40 | €3,000 | Unlimited |
| Omaha 5/5 | €400 | Unlimited |
| Omaha 10/10 | €500 | Unlimited |
A published structure is not a promise that every table is running on a given night; if one specific game is the reason for the trip, confirm it with the poker room before setting out.
Casino Marbella also hosts tournament festivals. The Sportium Sixers Poker Series was held here in April 2026, with a Main Event and side events, but the casino’s current poker pages do not publish a recurring weekly tournament schedule. Treat tournament poker as event-led rather than assuming a regular nightly programme.
Jackpot Paradise: the daytime casino
The slot hall publishes more than 90 machine positions across two areas, plus two Zuum electronic roulette terminals. Slot stakes run from €0.05 to €100 a spin; on electronic roulette a straight-up number starts at €0.50 with a €50 cap. A snack bar in the hall opens with it at 11am.
It is a machine hall with a bar, not a preview of the evening room, which is worth knowing before you plan a 3pm visit expecting blackjack.
Which ID gets you in
Entry is for visitors aged 18 or over with a valid original photo document; photocopies are refused. Spanish citizens can use a DNI, passport or driving licence. Foreign visitors have a wider list than at some Spanish casinos: passport, driving licence, a national photo ID card for EU citizens, certain Spanish residence or foreigner identification documents, and specific diplomatic or consular IDs.
Carry the original that matches your nationality and status. The venue’s own list takes priority over anything general in our Spain casino age and ID guide.
Dress code: two operator pages, one safe answer
Casino Marbella’s access page bans swimwear, men’s tank tops, flip-flops, sunglasses, hats and bulky items such as large backpacks, suitcases and motorcycle helmets. Its legal notice adds shorts and sneakers.
Both texts are the operator’s own, so plan for the stricter one: smart casual with closed shoes and trousers rather than shorts. Formalwear is not expected; arriving straight from the beach is what the rules are written against. The national picture is in our guide to casino dress codes in Spain.
House rules beyond clothing
No outside food or drink, no pets, no photography or filming inside, no entry for anyone on the gambling self-exclusion register, and management may refuse entry over behaviour or intoxication. Leave luggage at the hotel.
Dinner in the building
The casino has its own restaurant, with evening service designed to overlap with the start of poker and the Gaming Room. Its main restaurant page lists 8pm–2am, while a summer 2026 announcement published a later seasonal schedule of 9pm–2:30am.
If dinner is part of the plan, check the current restaurant hours when booking rather than assuming the casino’s gaming schedule also applies to the restaurant.
The menu centres on Mediterranean tapas and a Spanish-international offer. For the visitor, the useful point is simple: dinner and gaming can be organised in the same building, reducing the logistics of a late Marbella evening.
Who should choose Casino Marbella?
| Visitor | Fit | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Staying in Marbella, Nueva Andalucía or Puerto Banús | Strong | Same building complex or same evening circuit. |
| Cash poker player | Strong | Daily Hold’em and Omaha from 8pm at meaningful stakes. |
| Live-table visitor | Strong from 9pm | Blackjack, American roulette and poker in the Gaming Room. |
| Slots or electronic roulette visitor | Strong | Jackpot Paradise all day, 90+ positions. |
| Afternoon live-table visitor | Poor | No tables before 9pm. |
| Based near Benalmádena | Depends on the trip | Torrequebrada is the local option; the journey west needs a reason. |

Frequently asked questions
What time does Casino Marbella open?
Jackpot Paradise at 11am, cash poker from 8pm, the Gaming Room at 9pm; both gaming areas close at 5am.
Can you wear shorts or trainers at Casino Marbella?
The operator’s legal notice lists both as not permitted, even though its access page does not mention them. Assume no.
Do EU citizens need a passport?
No. A national photo ID card is on the accepted list for EU citizens, alongside a passport or driving licence. It must be the original.
Does Casino Marbella run poker tournaments?
Casino Marbella hosts tournament festivals, including the Sportium Sixers Poker Series in April 2026, but its current poker pages do not publish a recurring weekly tournament schedule. Cash poker is the more consistently documented offer.
Bottom line
Go at 9pm for tables, 8pm for poker and after 11am for machines. Choose Casino Marbella mainly when Marbella is already part of your trip; if you are based farther east along the Costa del Sol, geography comes before the games list.
