Casino Mallorca: What Tourists Should Know Before Visiting

Casino Mallorca is a straightforward Palma option with free current admission, but it is stricter than Casino Barcelona on both documentation and dress: international visitors are directed to bring a passport, driving licences are not accepted, and sportswear should be avoided.

Bottom line

Easy to visit from Palma, but bring the passport and dress more carefully than you would in Barcelona.

The current FAQ publishes free admission, international visitor passport use, no driving licences, formal/semi-formal dress guidance and daily live tables from 7pm.

Casino Mallorca is not difficult to visit, but it is a poor place to improvise the document at the door. Its current FAQ is unusually clear for international visitors: bring a passport, and do not rely on a driving licence.

Where it fits into a Palma trip

The casino is on Avenida de Gabriel Roca in Palma. That makes it a city casino rather than a remote resort stop, so the visit can be combined with a normal evening in Palma without building the entire night around transport.

The ID rule is stricter than many tourists expect

Casino Mallorca currently tells international visitors to use a passport. It explicitly states that driving licences are not accepted.

That is a useful contrast with Casino Marbella, whose current access page lists driving licences among accepted original photo documents for some visitors. The practical lesson is not that one casino is right and the other wrong; it is that document rules are venue-specific.

Dress one step more carefully than in Barcelona

The current FAQ recommends formal or semi-formal dress and asks visitors to avoid sportswear. Beach sandals, sleeveless tops, beachwear and overly informal clothing are not accepted.

You do not need to treat the casino as black tie, but smart casual is the safer default than a relaxed beach-holiday outfit.

When do live tables matter?

The casino currently publishes live gaming tables from 7pm to 4am and also lists daily cash play from 7pm. Its game pages include roulette, blackjack and poker.

That means there is little reason for a table player to arrive in the morning just because the wider venue opens earlier.

Is there an entry fee?

The current FAQ says general admission is free. That does not remove the ID, dress or access controls.

Who is Casino Mallorca best for?

  • Good fit: Palma visitors who want one straightforward casino evening.
  • Good fit: table or cash-poker visitors planning from 7pm onward.
  • Less useful: anyone who only has a driving licence and assumes any photo ID will work.
  • Less useful: beach-to-casino visitors who do not plan a clothing change.
